U10 Team Ethos

The team ethos is respect, encouragement and hard work in a fun and safe environment. As a coaching team we want to develop skills, a love of the games and for the boys to foster friendships with their teammates. We believe in an inclusive approach with all players getting game time to give them the best possible opportunity to improve their skills.

Meet the Mentors

Cara Mac Aodháin

is originally from Donegal where he has won a Division 1 Adult Football League winners medal. Cara has played senior football with Erin’s Isle for the past 9 years and captained the team in 2010 that won the Division 2 league title and earned promotion to Division 1 of the Dublin Adult Football League. Cara has been coaching the U10 team for the past 4 years and wishes to help players play to their full potential (even if that means they end up playing for Dublin!!).

Jim Ryan

is originally from Wicklow and is a 6th class teacher in the Sacred Heart, Ballygall, where he has coached the gaelic football and hurling teams there for the past 12 years. Jim has helped his school gaelic football team to 4 Croke Park finals, 2 Parnell Park finals and numerous quarter and semi-finals in the schools hurling. At adult level Jim has coached Ballymun Kickhams senior ladies to two Championship finals, 2 successive league titles, 2 successive promotions and 2 adult cup titles; their first ever titles in the club. Jim thoroughly enjoys working with the under 10s in Erin's Isle.

Niall Carty

is a 29 year old primary school teacher from Finglas. He has been a member of Erin's Isle GAA Club since the age of 6 and is the third generation of his family to be a member of the club. Niall played both football and hurling for the club at underage level and is currently a member of the club's Senior Football Panel. Niall's coaching experience includes coaching at school's level where he has brought two teams to Dublin Finals in Croke Park, winning 4 trophies in 7 years.
