Welcome to THE ISLES! News Section. Please select an news item from below to read....

Tomorrow is something of a momentus day for the club once again. First things first, as the schools returned this week, at 10am tomorrow morning our Grasshoppers returns after the summer break and the Juvenile Section would like to invite all current members and any prospective new ones to join in the fun. Orlaith is keen to have plenty of parent participation this term so don't be afraid to let yourself known if you are going to watch your little one(s) and can help and are Garda Vetted.

The afternoon and evening will see the club taken over by two huge events. First and foremost, the bread and butter! Our Senior Hurlers will take centre stage on the main pitch against Parnell's in the Senior Hurling Championship Quarter Final at 5:30pm. The boys have been training hard of late and are looking forward to tomorrow's challenge.

Straddling the big game centre stage will be our Pitch and Putt classic. It's going to be a great day and hopefully the weather is kind. Tee times are either at 4pm or 6pm but you'll have been advised of this already. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank those in the community and further afield who have taken the chance to put their brand behind the event by sponsoring us. We would especially like to thank Massey Brother's who is the lead sponsor. Full details of the event below.

Pitch and Putt Classic 2013

Make sure you get yourself down - we expect the club to be buzzing all day!

The club is looking into the possibility of hosting a "gathering" in the form of a 20 year "reunion" of the Dublin Senior Football Championship winning side of 1993 - the first of two titles the club has won.

At this time we would like to appeal to members, ex-members, supporters and anyone who may possess pictures from the big day in the old Parnell Park when Mick Deegan captained a team of Erin's Isle heroes to Senior A Championship glory for the first time to offer them up for display on the night. The photos will be digitised and their originals returned to their owners as presented.

If you would like to help or have any information about getting some photos please don't hesitate to contact Paul Campbell or Christy Cox.

Thanks in advance!

You may or may not know, but this Saturday between 4pm and 8pm, by way of Thank You to all our members for their continued support throughout the year, the club is putting on an end of Summer BBQ and family fun day.

The BBQ will be complimentary and we'll have a DJ present to get the atmosphere going and don't worry, there will be food kept for those involved in the Senior Hurling League match v Kevin's in Dolphin Park.

It will surely be a great way to wrap up the Summer. All of our members and their families are welcome to join in the fun so make sure to come along and have fun!
