Welcome to THE ISLES! News Section. Please select an news item from below to read....

It is with great regret that the club learnt yesterday of the death of Bernadette Rowe (Nee Deegan) sister of Mick Deegan former player and manager of the Senior Footballer's and most recently Jim Gavin's right hand man with the Dublin Senior Footballers.

After the elation of winning SAM with Dublin on the 22nd this is the worst news possible for all the family and the club extend our deepest sympathies to him and his sisters and of course Bernie's daughter and husband at this terrible time.

The funeral mass will take place tomorrow, Thursday 3rd October 2013 in the church of Our Mother of Devine Grace in Ballygall at 10am.

If you weren't one of the 80 lucky members to have been drawn out tonight for tickets to the main event on Sunday, don't worry, the club have made arrangements to host a bit a party in the hall so that all members and their families can come together and watch the match on a freshly installed BIG SCREEN in the Club Hall.

All members and their families/friends are invited to join us as we host an All Ireland Final party not to be equalled anywhere else in Dublin.

If you are interested in watching the game on the Big Screen in the Hall (pictures to follow) entry will be by Ticket Only (so as to record capacity) and the tickets are available from Tommy Spratt. More specifics will be made available over the next 24 hours.

These family themed table quizes have been a big success in the past and we're hopeful that this will be no different. Who doesn't love an old table quiz every now again to get the mind a racing. You never know, good old RAVE EYELINER may make another appearance on this time as a participant and not a clue.

As the poster says, the quiz is on in the club bar from 8pm next Friday 20th of September - the weekend of the All Ireland Football Final. Tables are only €40 each with four per table - standard fair.

We hope to see you all there!
