Annual CPR/AED course next Saturday at 1pm more publicly. This is a very worthwhile & rewarding course to attend if you are free.

If you are interested please contact Paddy Canning, Paul Drum or Greg at gregandelsaleonard @Gmail or 0861679778 before next Friday please.

Not too much happening on the field over the Christmas period, 2016 ended with our annual festive game of football between the old codgers & the young pretenders. We had a great turn out with 30 plus players participating, experience once again came to the fore and the game can be summed up in one abbreviated word “Chicken-Wing”. Only those in attendance will understand!

A big congratulations needs to go to Gillian Mc Cluskey who valiantly represented the Junior Dublin stars at corner forward with an impressive 1-1 last weekend.

Our 1917-2017 centenary celebrations began in earnest on New year’s day, numbers are not my strong point but there must have been at least 6,000 past & present members in attendance. A big thank you to all of those who made the day a fantastic success, if this is anything to go by the forthcoming events will be a well worth attending.

Vouchers for the Croke Park Gathering next November (Saturday 25th) are available now in denominations of €20, €30 or €100.

Centenary Calendars are on sale in the club shop along other centenary merchandise. Live Music continues every Sunday. Bingo every Monday with music from the Cubes. Main Bingo in Hall every Thursday night at 8:30pm. New players always welcome. No winner of the club Lotto last Thursday Jan 5th €3,600. Numbers were 1,2,17 & 21 next draw Jan 12th. Club Lotto can be played online, on Facebook or in club bar. If you have anything for club notes please contact Paul Campbell

Well done to Gillian McCluckey who played in the Dublin Blue Star game yesterday. Gillian finished with a tally of 1-1. And by all accounts should have got player of the match. Well done , a great achievement.
